IV INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE KAZAKHSTAN SECURITY SYSTEMS
From October 19 to 20 of this year, the IV International Conference Kazakhstan Security Systems was held in Astana.
Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “State Technical Service” (JSC “STS”), Shambulov Ulykbek Kadyrzhanuly, spoke as a speaker during the session “Cyber & Digital Security” with the topic “Trends of cyberbullying and methods of personal data protection”, familiarizing the audience with the activities of JSC “STS” in terms of the security survey of storage processes, processing and dissemination of restricted personal data contained in electronic information resources.
Ulykbek Shambulov also said that cases of fraudulent schemes have become more frequent. To convince citizens, fraudsters use logos of well-known companies and banks, news portals, and also mention the names of famous people.
The participants of the conference were familiarized with the data on the work on responding to phishing Internet resources designed to collect personal data of Internet users.
From the report: “Since the beginning of this year, 1,237 links have been analyzed, phishing forms have been found on 96% of links, there are 1,192 of them. As a result, 964 cases were registered. According to the types of imitation, the imitation of second-tier banks in Kazakhstan is leading (306 cases); clones of Internet resources (244); sweepstakes and lotteries (150); polls and voting (141)”
In conclusion, the speaker noted that violation of the established requirements leads to irreparable reputational damage to companies.
