“Gifts” from Disney are promised to Kazakhstanis
On the eve of the International Children’s Day, fraudulent links about holding a drawing on behalf of the largest media conglomerate of the entertainment industry in the world – the Walt Disney Company (hereinafter-Disney) with the following heading “A gift for Children’s Day! Through the questionnaire, you will have a chance to get money.”
Users massively receive links with false information about conducting a survey on behalf of Disney, after which they are allegedly waiting for a guaranteed win. Next, to receive the winnings, the user is asked to “share with friends” in the WhatsApp messenger for. After passing the above procedures, the user is redirected to various phishing Internet resources, where a contact number is indicated, by calling which the user hears an audio message confirming his winnings, after which he is offered to leave the number of the “winner” to contact him.
The KZ CERTIFICATE reminds you by sending suspicious links to contacts in messengers, thereby you help attackers to spread fraudulent Internet resources and expose your loved ones to cyber threat. Information about contests, sweepstakes and various promotions is necessarily published on the official websites and pages on social networks of companies.
