On 16 November of the current year the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of information security between the State Technical Service JSC and the Electronic Security Service of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan took place.

Development of international co-operation is carried out between the National Computer Incident Response Service (KZ-CERT) and the Electronic Security Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan (CERT.AZ)

The Memorandum is aimed at increasing the level of co-operation in the field of information security, especially in terms of responding to information security incidents. This Memorandum creates a foundation for the exchange of best practices, experience and information on current cyber threats, which will serve to significantly strengthen information security in our countries.       Through the development of co-operation, mutual efforts, technical and human resources are consolidated in cases of detection, detection and remediation of computer attacks.

Such agreements facilitate the sharing of best practices, help reduce incident response times, and strengthen joint efforts to protect critical information.

The memorandum reaffirms the two countries’ commitment to strengthening their status as trusted partners in cyber security.

CERT.AZ was established in accordance with the 5th part of the Presidential Decree No. 708 of 26 September 2012.
