INCIDENT OVERVIEW FOR AUGUST 2023
The State Technical Service reports a significant decrease in the number of cyberattacks in August of this year. Using the Unified Internet Access Gateway (UIAG), the number of cyberattacks blocked totalled are 13 million cyberattacks, which is 3.3 times less than last month.
The most common botnet types in the networks of government agencies, local executive bodies, quasi-public and private sector organizations in Kazakhstan were andromeda.Botnet, Mozi.Botnet and Mariposa.Botnet.
It should be noted that compared to the previous month, the number of information security incidents of malicious software (MIS) type decreased by 53.8%. At the same time, the highest number was recorded in the local executive agencies and quasi-public sector.
