Askar Zhunisbek, Chairman of the Board of the State Technical Service JSC, made a speech at the opening of the conference. In his speech, he noted that there is an acute shortage of information security specialists in the country.

“In 2020, we concluded a memorandum with the Eurasian National University. For three years, within the framework of the implementation of the provisions of the memorandum, a significant number of students have undergone industrial and pre-graduation internship within the walls of the Company and subsequently employed. Besides, our employees improve their qualification, studying in master’s and doctoral programmes of ENU. Also, one of the forms of interaction on the educational part of the plan is the coordination of educational programmes and providing reviews on diploma works” – said Askar Zhunisbek.

“We are in constant search of new forms of cooperation in terms of professional development and competence building, in particular, holding student competitions in the field of IS provision. For example, last week the first stage of the online information security competition “STS Cyber Challenge 2023″ in CTF format was held. 373 students from 16 universities took part in the competition, 20 winners were determined, who went to the second stage, which will be held at the end of October in the walls of STS” – added the Chairman of the Board of JSC “State Technical Service”.
